BORG 55Ach/F10.9

This is a new BORG scope – “Moebius” collaborated with Kenko Japan.

The air-spaced optics with the premium quality multicoat look very good. It’s basically Series-60 based scope. But the baffle is in. So super lightweight (=1kg) achromat scope is for the serious astro users.

And thanks to the BORG-proprietary modular design. Easy to put parts into a photographic bag. So a long scope is not inconvenient to store and carry any more.

This is a 1st shot through 55Ach.

55Ach/F10.9 + Masuyama 1.5x barlow + Player One Saturn-M

I used Saturn-M first time. I assured the square sensor was the really good fit for the round objects. 900mm focal length was the best fit to 1″ square sensor. The above image isn’t cropped at all.

I will try to shoot the moon next time.
