More Blue Smart Lens Heater

A wide variety of More Blue items are expected to come in stock within next week. Thanks for the pre-orders from some customers.

There is an another unique item I didn’t announce before. More “More Blue” is coming. It’s “Smart Lens Heater”.

This is more than a conventional dew heater. It has two unique features.

1- Temperature-keeping mode

This should be the huge benefit to the optics which is super sensitive to the temperature change like recent BORG astrographs and premium Takahashi telescopes etc.

In my experiences as BORG user, I felt approx. 5-degree(F) drop clearly showed going out of the critical-focus zone. This mode allows to continuously keep the lens temperature at the origin level when the focus is done. So it keeps the focus even the ambient temperature goes down. As far as it works as expected, at least huge benefit for myself. Let me try and see. This was exactly what I wanted.

2- Difference mode

This mode keeps the temperature difference all the time. If we set 15C when the ambient is 13C, the controller always keeps the heater 2 degree higher than the real-time ambient all the time. So the heater temperature is continuously changing based on the ambient.

Another unique feature is to use the heating carbon film unlike the conventional type.

As shown above, the heating evens entire the lens cell or dew shield. That looks nice too. There are 12V and USB/5V.
