Solar Flares

This was my 1st time-lapse movie for solar surface, taken yesterday with SF-50, BORG 89ED(600mm f.l.) and ZWO ASI174MM camera. It shows several different flares during 8 hours period (9 am to 5 pm). Carefully watch them. A few are obvious. But some are small and quick. Easily miss them.

The main filter was set in front of 89ED dew-shield. But it looks flexed. I should check back the better attachment method or I should try on 77EDII (500mm f.l.) which allows to directly attach onto the objective lens cell.

  1. Very nice Ted. These are hard to capture. Looks like good optics and decent seeing.
