Perseid Meteor & Veil Nebula

This is only one Perseid result this year since I had hardware trouble at early stage. Believe or not, this is 1st shot and after that? nothing……..

    Nice capture! That sure looks like M31 in that photo.

    Here in the Augusta, GA area, I was out from 3:15 to 5:30 am local, when morning twilight began to break. Saw some 15 meteors during that time, but the best one occurred during the first 5 minutes. It was bright and long. Might have been an earthgrazer.

    Seeing conditions weren’t the best, so I missed the dimmer ones. Due to the haze, the best viewing was within 20º of the zenith.
