Code Number 2013X2

It passed a week quickly in Japan. I was traveling around to the north and to the south by several high speed trains. Almost every day I took those trains.

Cool,  I love them!

These are very fast, quiet, smooth and punctual. One of most astonishing things in Japanese high speed railway systems is each train is controlled every 3 to 5 minutes in max speed 270 – 320km/h and surprisingly all on time.  No delay!!  This is amazing.

I came back from the sticky wet-land and now I’m adjusting my condition with dry California breeze.

At BORG, I saw and touched 36ED and 2013×2 new optical system. Following pictures are taken with 2013×2 by Mr.BORG – Noboru Nakagawa. The key features on optics are sharp and fast. It might be the fastest optics among any BORGs as far as I know. It should be good for astrophotography too.

Probably you might be able to guess what type of lens from this performance – color contrast and crisp finish. Shipping schedule is not set yet. We will keep you updated on the product information. Please be patient!!

36ED is expected to be released end of July. 36ED, designed by a new industrial designer,  looks slightly different taste from any previous BORG systems. It was very good looking too.

  1. Is the 2013×2 faster than current Borgs, or all Borgs ever, including the 125ED/2.8 (which I finally got!)? We already have nearly f/3.5 with current Borgs. Another f/2.8-3.5 Borg would be great.

  2. Amazing!
