Sigma 35mm/F1.4

This is 1st shot with Sigma latest model 35mm/F1.4

finalSigma 35mm/F1.4 at F3.5 with 6DH, 8 x 5 minutes @ISO1600

With dark, no flat

I love this lens!! I have Sigma 50mm/F1.4 as well. But this is the wider field of view and sharper. Very clean star edge. Fun to use.

Since the target was still very low angle this morning, I will re-try to shoot in better sky condition. In any cases, LPS-V4 is very helpful to blocking city light over the horizon. LPS-V4 was set at the rear of the lens like

3(Prototype)

This was only result before fully covered by fog this morning.

Since these Sigma lenses are so good for astrophotography, I’ve decided to go ahead making rear filter holder for Sigma lenses commercially available. If you are looking for high quality wide-field lens, this is the one. I highly recommend it!

Also should be OK at full aperture(F1.4) for meteor showers.

Again I realized 6D’s excellent performance.
