Fork Mount & Latitude

I was curious how fork mount can be used at extremely low or high latitude without tripod head. So I tried to simulate what it can be done at those regions.

Almost on the equator

Within arctic region

Technically I could set the mount vertically – It means it’s on the pole. But I was feeling less stable and I don’t think it is realistic. Anyway, good to know 35-dgree wedge works anywhere on the earth in the equatorial mode.

This was taken by Masanori Kirimura. Several Ha sections are fairly captured. Very well done!! I wish to achieve a bit closer to this kind of level by DSLRs.
